Provides overall strategic leadership and direction; oversees growth, policy formulation, major financial decisions, stakeholder relationships, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Factory Manager / CEO
Translates strategic goals into operational performance. Oversees factory operations, production efficiency, quality standards, coordination between departments, resource utilization, timely delivery, and adherence to safety and quality requirements.
Departmental Roles & Responsibilities
- Marketing Manager: business development, client acquisition, branding, tender follow-ups, corporate accounts.
- Senior Merchandisers: coordinate client orders, specs, timelines; bridge customers and production.
- Merchandisers: order tracking, materials coordination, client communication.
- Junior Merchandisers: documentation support, order follow-ups under supervision.
- Production Manager: oversees manufacturing processes, targets, compliance and quality.
- Cutting Manager: fabric cutting accuracy, material utilization and wastage control.
- Sewing Room Manager: manages stitching operations and machine operators.
- Finishing Room Manager: ironing, QC inspection, packaging and readiness for delivery.
- Line Supervisors / Supervisors / Helpers: productivity monitoring, procedure adherence and support operations.
- HR Manager: recruitment, staff welfare, training, performance, compliance with labor laws.
- Administrative Staff: clerical work, documentation and office support for smooth operations.
- Finance Manager: planning, budgeting, accounting, statutory compliance and reporting.
- Accounts Manager: invoicing, payroll, KRA compliance, records management.
- Commercial Manager: pricing strategy, cost control, supplier negotiations, commercial contracts.
PJEA maintains an internal IT function supporting operational efficiency, financial accountability, secure data management and timely reporting. The department ensures systems for procurement, production tracking, inventory, payroll, financial reporting and communication are reliable and tender-compliant.
- IT Manager: oversees IT systems, cybersecurity, data integrity and tender ICT requirements.
- Systems Administrator: hardware/software/network maintenance, user access, uptime.
- IT Support Officer: troubleshooting, updates, user training and day-to-day support.
